Writing may be my professional career, and sometimes I
wonder if this is really my passion. Indeed, it is in a portion of my heart and
mind that writing is the profession I want to pursue up to date although I know
I am not really good at it, considering that my English is not that perfect. (Anyway,
education is a continuous process, so I better keep on learning the language.) This
profession also leads me to thinking about my skills apart from the letters
that I have to write on paper and word processor.
I once again get hooked in singing. It was one of my hobbies I
had quite neglected in the past 5 years, but here I am again although my
so-called golden voice has already faded away. I can still sing, but not as
good as when I was still studying.
I can say my day won’t be complete without playing my playlist
with songs of Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Paramore, and Maroon 5. It’s a morning
routine while preparing for work, and let’s save the singing part in the latter
part of this post, hehe!
My concept for my birthday celebration is not actually new
for some. I’ve read some blogs about birthdays that celebrated through acts of
kindness. Instead of asking gift for themselves or throwing parties for just
family and friends, they share their special day with other people they hardly
know.
I don’t know much about restaurants, and I'm not a gourmet, so I
always let the decision on where to eat to my friends, family, or colleagues
when we have to dine in. Today, I discover (yes, discover fits the description)
an eat-all-you can restaurant Sambo Kojin. As always when there’s sushi in the
buffet, my stomach has to be filled with at least 10 sushi of different kinds.
Last May 14, Jason Mraz took the stage for his fans in the
Philippines to serenade their hearts at SMART Araneta Coliseum. He was way
ready to once again let his fans sing with him at 9 p.m. Even before he sang
the first song on his Manila concert tour, his fans already showed their love
and excitement to hear him sing his songs and his simple and yet graceful
moves.
This coming May 15, Husky is turning 1 year old. Time really
flies. I barely notice that it’s been a year since I adopted him and started
training him. I remember last year, I was quite hesitant to welcome him in our
home because it was just weeks since days-old then Tim, Tom, and Tam died.
Husky cried softly in front of our house as if hoping for someone to take care
of him, and so I did.
Husky is now a father of 5 kittens |
My mother has one condition for once again adopting a
kitten: eliminate the bad odor of his/her poops and pee. I had to train Husky
to use the comfort room for this kind of activities or at least do it on the
tray I prepared for him. However, yes, it wouldn’t eliminate the odor. Luckily,
today, I can afford to buy litter. I tried clumping litter of another brand,
before I settle with Tidy Cats by Purina.
We know that Albert Einstein is one of the well-known and
respected scientists of all time. He is also known for the popular equation E =
mc2, energy-mass equivalence. We are aware that he is a German born on
March 14, 1879 who developed the theory of relativity. Yes, definitely he has great
contribution to the world of science.
I don’t know when was the time I watched basketball games
particularly NBA and PBA (Philippine Basketball Association); I bet it’s been
more than 2 years. But just last week, I find myself liking and reading news
about the two popular basketball leagues, and last night, I remembered to
switch the TV channel to PBA.
Last Tuesday, April 30, I watched Iron Man 3 with my nephew.
He was really excited to see the film. I was also really excited; I was waiting
for it since the 3rd installment was announced. I like the film,
really I do. I, however, just got stressed with the first few scene of the
movie – the time setting is New Year’s Day and Christmas Day. It is really
ironic! Hahaha! There could be any other time for the setting, but why it
should be New Year and Christmas? I still can’t stand seeing in the much-awaited
film with time setting in Christmas day especially New Year. Okay, so I checked
Iron Man 3 in my movies to watch this year and next in my list are the Evil
Dead and the Man of Steel. No more New Year’s day, please.
Every break up is painful, who says it is not. If the decision is not mutual, the break up is always best for the dumper; it is not "the best for both of us". (So, don't believe him/her when he/she says it when he/she breaks up with you.) The only time, however, it will be best for the one being left is when he/she choose a better life without the one who left him/her and when every decision s/he makes will not depend on the dumper.
After watching the season finale episode of TV series The
Walking Dead, I am still thinking whether Andrea (Lauren Holden) is really
dead. Prior to the Season 3 of the series, a question popped up into my head:
Is there any character who has been bitten by walkers turned into a walker as
well even though s/he isn’t dead yet? I just wonder why some characters bitten
by walkers have to be killed. Maybe, just maybe, the wounds couldn’t be cured.
So, Herschel is lucky then to have his limb cut so he wouldn’t turn into a
walker. But everybody’s already infected with this virus. Hmm …
Since last February, I once again start reading books and
I love it. Although I haven’t finished reading Da Vinci Code yet (may be because
I am more into love stories considering my current state of emotion), I still
want new addition to my so-called book collection. I love seeing books piling
beside me when I’m going to sleep. Yes, my books are not in the shelf, they are
on my bed. Well, I just have a few lying at the side of my bed, so I still have
enough room to move myself from time to time while sleeping.

people first, it has been your complete inability to put yourself first.” from The
