Every break up is painful, who says it is not. If the decision is not mutual, the break up is always best for the dumper; it is not "the best for both of us". (So, don't believe him/her when he/she says it when he/she breaks up with you.) The only time, however, it will be best for the one being left is when he/she choose a better life without the one who left him/her and when every decision s/he makes will not depend on the dumper.

At the first few weeks of breakup, the dumpee may try to beg, plead, and cry with the dumper. (I bet most of the dumpees had done this). In a month, you keep on thinking what happen to your relationship. But I will not cover all the reasons in this post because I would only like to focus about “if one really falls out of love”. It's just a week to go before Valentine's Day. Of course, each couple is excited for this day to come even though it means spending for gifts, flowers, and chocolates, everything is worth it. The main concern is to make special someone happy and feel more loved. This is also the time to reminisce previous Valentine celebration or also [sometimes] the time to think how you end up together.

Prudence Charlz will be 35 months in love before Valentine's 2011 come. And three years and three months is such adorable, lovable, and wonderful. Things get rough sometimes, however being both in love surpasses all the obstacles coming our way. It's like you want out but you cannot make a single step away.

We believe that so long as we are in love, there is no reason for us to leave or end our relationship. It is true and it makes us fall in love the first time every day. It's a great feeling.

I would like to tell the world how in love I am with him and how kind, loyal and faithful, and loving he is. It's my first time to do this and I don't know if this is all right. Hahaha!

I still love him, but I am mad at him so what would I say. I want to find out the truth, but I hate to see him.

So what I did was: To hang up.

By the way, he is my ex-boyfriend who had just gone for five years. No phone calls or even letters. Actually I hanged up because I was speechless. And admittedly I miss him so much. Apparently, I've got no boyfriend, still single because of him.

To continue my story, my cell phone rang again, but I did not answer it. After his three attempts, I turned it off. It better to sleep than to talk to him, I convinced myself. I was also trying to think that it was just a prank call. Or it was a wrong number. Anyway, he did not mention my name, but rather he called me Honey. Anybody could be Honey of anyone for a prank caller or should I say cheater.

The next day, everything seemed normal. The calculator, computer, and pile of papers were still in their place. I found myself preparing the journals and ledgers and the never-ending computation of debit and credit. Everything used to be this way. But one thing was not usual: A bouquet of flower at my desk. It was the only kind of flower I ever like. It was a daisy.

And who have sent these flowers? I asked myself.

So I searched for the card and got the small pink card. There it was written:

"Honey,

I love you so much. Please forgive me. I'm sorry.

Honey

My heart wanted to stop beating. I was so cold and may be pale. I was oblivious. Was this a debit or a credit for my suffering? I could feel the whole weight of my body into my feet. I could not carry myself. It was too heavy. My heart lost its rhythm. My mind could no longer find any words to speak of or even to think of.

Yes, of course you want to know who Honey is. Well, well, as I have said, he is my boyfriend. I mean, he "was" my boyfriend. We had been together for two years, but we have to deal with long-distance relationship after that. He had to work abroad. His jobs called for travelling if necessary. Our plan was he would just save money and we would get married. But we never talked on having no communication. So to sum the years of our relationship it was two years and nine months. Nine months of being far from him and nine months that created a deep wound in my heart. The wound has never been superficial. It is deep that even mefenamic acid or antiseptic could not ease the pain and heal the wound.

So you know now a little of our story.

Who says that when a ship is sinking there's no way to save it? Apparently, the captain has less chances to save the sinking ship like what happened in Titanic last 1912 or the MV Princess of the Star sank in Romblon, Philippines last year (2008). But before the unexpected occurrence, surely there's a way to prevent it. Yes, to avoid a ship from sinking you must prevent the accident or disaster.

Check the ship system if it is working properly. See to it that all the passengers will have their safety gear in case of emergency (note just in case of emergency). Plan ahead and the captain should assume responsibility in taking the ship on shore.

And communicate with the team as well as with the passengers. Why? Communication makes everybody aware of the dos and the don'ts in the ship. They would really feel that they are part of the ship. Do communicate properly. Do it before, during, and after the voyage.

In this case you will have a smooth sailing. :)

Happy Christmas! After tight schedule since December came in, alas, yesterday I got rest. Today, I prepare for Christmas and surprise for my loved ones especially for my nephews and niece and of course my mama. I was able to greet my papa when he called (hope next year he'll again spend Christmas with us). My beloved nephew is excited to open his gifts that me and my significant other have given to him since December 6. Finally, it's revelation time of our gift.

My brother's family (second to the five siblings) are here and so as our little sister (though she's no longer little one :), but still our little since she's the youngest) with her son. Tomorrow on Christmas day, my brother's family (third to the five) will be joining us in celebrating the day. Our eldest brother will be spending Christmas with his wife's family, but be here to light fireworks and welcome the 2009.

I miss those Christmas times with them, the time when they are all singles. The time that we altogether were opening gifts and laughing and reminiscing the previous months of happiness and sufferings. Nevertheless, it's also nice to see them with their spouses with my nephews and niece that are playing and running into our house. Though, yeah, they're screaming and shouting while playing.

Although it will be far to long to see myself having my own child, they are all prepared, well should I say a little prepared. :) And hope that my beloved significant other, will be the one I'll be marrying and sharing times in raising our family and child. Anyways, I'll cross the bridge when I get there.

Actually, I myself is still clueless on how I have got involved with this kind of duty. I told you, I am not a doctor or even a psychologist, but healing one's emotion is my specialization. A does of fortune telling, mind reading, analyzing situation, consultation, advising with my patients depending on their "illness" are may be some of my ways of healing.

Most of my patients want their sickness to be cured when it is still in acute stage, though I have also encountered new patients already at chronic stage that really needs a higher dosage and intensive care.

I remember one of my patients. She was nearly to chronic. She asked, "Why I've always got hurt?"

There was my hand comforting her back then when I said, "May be because you let them do that to you,"

Sometimes I doubt the words that comes out from my mouth are right for any stage of emotional sickness.

But whether acute or chronic, I always make it sure that before I leave them, they have figured out the cause of the problem. It is like helping them to see the root cause of their problem rather than telling them the possible origin.

And believe it or not, any origin of their disease, if you will see its psychological aspects, is leading to heart failure. Then of course if taken for granted, it might cause a brain damage.

So I have to think for another cure to prevent brain damage. As I have said, I am like a doctor, but I am also like Socrates. I use the Socratic Method, continualy questioning, then coming up with the answers. And then criticizing them or probably analyzation is the more appropriate word. And I find it effective and quite therapeutic.

By the way, I call them patients not because I consider them sick, but simply because I am quite a doctor for them. They come to me for a sort of consultation.

Day after day is new to me. I have new people to meet. It is amazaing and quite rewarding because some of my patients became my friends.

I THOUGHT THAT when I knew the cure to an illness and when it struck me, I would just follow my own prescription. Yes, may be some of it I could easily apply to myself but most of the remedy would be hard.

I have prescribed a lot of medication to my patients and they were very obedient. Well, at least some of them were obedient enough to take even the partial of it.

By the way, I am not a doctor but I have patients.


I am an accountant working eight hours a day, five days a week. Every day I see numbers. Always have calculator at my side. Computer has been patiently waiting for me every day. Stacks of file ready for documentation are the usual stuff at my desk. Counting and computing figures. Preparing balance sheet and account statement. This is my life since five years ago.

But I am not bored.

Thank God that aside from dealing with numbers, there is something that broke my daily routine. On the contrary, it also happens every day and it has been my duty since high school. May I mention that sometimes I am on-call for some sort of emergency? Yes, like any doctor there are patients that need an immediate attention. So I have to excuse myself in the office. Glad that my boss allows me with this set up. Anyway, emergency cases are not on daily basis.

Aside from that, I am receiving phone calls not lower than five everyday. My email inbox has bunch of message everyday, too. And oh, not to mention letters I am receiving at the office. A little rest and privacy are important to me which is why I preferred not to give my home address to anyone aside from my close friends. Meeting my new patients somewhere else would be fine.
