My first-ever self-help book is finally out after almost half a year of working on it!

After conceptualizing, writing, editing, revising, editing, and designing of book cover, I have to face another challenge: uploading of files. I thought it was that easy not until errors had been detected because of formatting. Because it was my first time to self publish a book, I'm not sure what to do even though I've read the Style Guide more than twice. It was really a hassle to manual format the interior, but it was all worth it.

However, I should have announce a day later than my target date. Next time, I know what to do.

Every break up is painful, who says it is not. If the decision is not mutual, the break up is always best for the dumper; it is not "the best for both of us". (So, don't believe him/her when he/she says it when he/she breaks up with you.) The only time, however, it will be best for the one being left is when he/she choose a better life without the one who left him/her and when every decision s/he makes will not depend on the dumper.

At the first few weeks of breakup, the dumpee may try to beg, plead, and cry with the dumper. (I bet most of the dumpees had done this). Prudence Charlz will be 35 months in love before Valentine's 2011 come. And three years and three months is such adorable, lovable, and wonderful. Things get rough sometimes, however being both in love surpasses all the obstacles coming our way. It's like you want out but you cannot make a single step away.

We believe that so long as we are in love, there is no reason for us to leave or end our relationship. It is true and it makes us fall in love the first time every day. It's a great feeling.

I would like to tell the world how in love I am with him and how kind, loyal and faithful, and loving he is. It's my first time to do this and I don't know if this is all right. Hahaha!

I still love him, but I am mad at him so what would I say. I want to find out the truth, but I hate to see him.

So what I did was: To hang up.

By the way, he is my ex-boyfriend who had just gone for five years. No phone calls or even letters. Actually I hanged up because I was speechless. And admittedly I miss him so much. Apparently, I've got no boyfriend, still single because of him.

To continue my story, my cell phone rang again, but I did not answer it. After his three attempts, I turned it off. It better to sleep than to talk to him, I convinced myself. I was also trying to think that it was just a prank call. Or it was a wrong number. Anyway, he did not mention my name, but rather he called me Honey. Anybody could be Honey of anyone for a prank caller or should I say cheater.

The next day, everything seemed normal. The calculator, computer, and pile of papers were still in their place. I found myself preparing the journals and ledgers and the never-ending computation of debit and credit. Everything used to be this way. But one thing was not usual: A bouquet of flower at my desk. It was the only kind of flower I ever like. It was a daisy.

And who have sent these flowers? I asked myself.

So I searched for the card and got the small pink card. There it was written:

"Honey,

I love you so much. Please forgive me. I'm sorry.

Honey

My heart wanted to stop beating. I was so cold and may be pale. I was oblivious. Was this a debit or a credit for my suffering? I could feel the whole weight of my body into my feet. I could not carry myself. It was too heavy. My heart lost its rhythm. My mind could no longer find any words to speak of or even to think of.

Yes, of course you want to know who Honey is. Well, well, as I have said, he is my boyfriend. I mean, he "was" my boyfriend. We had been together for two years, but we have to deal with long-distance relationship after that. He had to work abroad. His jobs called for travelling if necessary. Our plan was he would just save money and we would get married. But we never talked on having no communication. So to sum the years of our relationship it was two years and nine months. Nine months of being far from him and nine months that created a deep wound in my heart. The wound has never been superficial. It is deep that even mefenamic acid or antiseptic could not ease the pain and heal the wound.

So you know now a little of our story.

Who says that when a ship is sinking there's no way to save it? Apparently, the captain has less chances to save the sinking ship like what happened in Titanic last 1912 or the MV Princess of the Star sank in Romblon, Philippines last year (2008). But before the unexpected occurrence, surely there's a way to prevent it. Yes, to avoid a ship from sinking you must prevent the accident or disaster.

Check the ship system if it is working properly. See to it that all the passengers will have their safety gear in case of emergency (note just in case of emergency). Plan ahead and the captain should assume responsibility in taking the ship on shore.

And communicate with the team as well as with the passengers. Why? Communication makes everybody aware of the dos and the don'ts in the ship. They would really feel that they are part of the ship. Do communicate properly. Do it before, during, and after the voyage.

In this case you will have a smooth sailing. :)

Like in a relationship, before it rocks, see to it that you communicate... properly.

Most of the companies and organization worldwide are busy on focusing on their business strategy. However, not all the strategies succeed. And when failure comes on their way, surely this word joins them: BLAME.

While we are busy seeing people as the ones not cooperating, as the ones bad, as the ones impolite, and so on and so forth, we forgot to look at ourselves and see why people around us acted that way especially toward us.


I learn that when a person sees people as an object, he/she doesn't see them clearly as people. That's when this person is "in the box." Arbringer Institute has published "Leadership and Self-Deception" that tells a story of a man (Tom), a manager, hired by a company (Zagrum) and after a month of working in the company he able to discover why the company he's presently working is successful not just because of merely taking it as a business, but learning and understanding what "in the box" and "out of the box" mean.


And while he's discovering the secret of company's success and what he was in a month when he joined the company, he has also able to take away the long suffering he has in his family and seeing clearly that he is the problem. The box has save his relationship with his wife and son, as well as his relationship with each coworkers in Zagrum.
