Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan will appear in “Captain America 3: Civil War” to join Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans in the battle between the two Avengers – Iron Man and Captain America.

Civil War directors Anthony and Joe Russo confirmed this during an interview in Beijing, China about the third installment of “Captain America”.

Anthony Russo said, “We’ve been preparing for the movie since the one debuted last year. “So we’ve been working on it for a long time now. We’ve very happy how it’s coming along.”

He added that “Captain America 3” “is gonna be called ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and it’s going to star Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson will be back, Winter Soldier will be back, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film.”

The 30-year-old Hollywood actress will reprise her rols as Black Widow to take part in the “Civil War”. She has previously portrayed the roles in “Iron Man 3”, “The Avengers”, and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”.

Johansson will also be working with Daniel Bruhl, who will make his first appearance in Marvel Cinematic Universe. The role of Bruhl has not yet revealed but it was reported that he would be playing a villainous role.

Sebastian Stan will also be returning to take his role as The Winter Soldier. It was previously rumored that the ‘Sputnik’ working title of “Civil War” has provided clue on the plot of the film. It was said that instead of the Superhuman Registration Act, the cause of the spark of war between the two allies is about the Winter Soldier.

“During Marvel’s ‘Death of Captain America’ storyline, the word ‘Sputnik’ was used by Captain America’s killers as a verbal “shutdown code” on The Winter Soldier, which The Soviets planted during their brainwashing. It’s worth noting that these events happened right after the Civil War miniseries. It’s all speculation at this point, but Sputnik may suggest that ‘Captain America: Civil War’ will also draw inspiration from ‘The Death of Captain America’ storyline,” wrote by Michael Briggs for Design & Trend.
