Whenever I watch movie, TV series, and anime series, I always savor the dialogues that each character utters. I just don’t watch. It’s like when I’m reading a book; the quotable quotes should always be in my notes.
Perhaps, not everybody here knows the anime One Piece, or ワンピース Wan Pīsu in Japanese. This Japenese anime about a young boy who dreams of becoming the Pirate King has lots of dialogues that really make sense. The boy is rubberman straw hat Monkey D. Luffy who has 400 million berries bounty and the captain of Straw Huts Pirates with powerful and determined crew-nakama he found while sailing to get the treasure One Piece.
Without elaborating much about the anime itself, it would say that One Piece Episode 545 and 546 (Shaking Fish-Man Island! A Celestial Dragon Drifts in! Yureru Gyojin-tō! Hyōchakushita Tenryūbito and A Sudden Tragedy! A Gunshot Shuts Down the Future! Totsuzen no Higeki! Mira o Tozasu Kyōdan) are just two episodes that may serve as eye-opener to our society. I remember what our National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal said “The youth is the hope of our future.” Truly, we experience things from bad to worst in our society. We feel fear because of some people who seem losing hope that the world is a better place. They are those who forget to take care the world for future generation. Perhaps, they don’t appreciate life. But for those of us who still believe that there is still hope, we surely have to act for a better future.
Despite the danger, the hardships, the terror, and all the bad things happening in our society, let’s not forget to teach our children the hope. But of course, it should start with and within us. If we love our children, we have to make our world a better place. Every small step we take can make a difference in their future.
Queen Otohime of Ryugu Kingdom in Fish-Man Island aims to bring the fishmen above the sea for the children to see the beauty that the sun and sky bring or to bring new future to the Fish-Man Island. For her to do it, she keeps on making way to cut the barrier between humans and fishmen. To make the story short, she convinces her fellow everyday to sign in the petition to move in the place closer to the land. However, a few fishmen don’t agree with her passion, thus the tragedy.
Despite the tragedy, Queen Otohime said, “Don’t let resentment or hatred to get the better of you.” You will find other words of her that can make you think if you are making changes in the future of your children and the future generation.
Watch the episodes to fully understand my points and for you to also think how to contribute to the changes in the society.
